The Venetians already centuries earlier had introduced the custom of wearing masks during carnival.
Why still the Carnival of Venice is the most famous in the world? Perhaps because even today the transgressions of the past still live in private between the walls of the palace, perhaps also because dressed lady or knight has a sense walking in this city magic where time seems to take us in the past. It ‘true that the emotions that you live are definitely unique and powerful emotional impact. You will not be yourself, you feel being part of an ancient world, magical. what kind of make up and hair should I wear under my masquerade mask?
I have a masquerade that I am attending Friday and was wondering how I should wear my make up under my mask.
Here’s a description of my mask in case you need it:
its paper mache painted silver with a black vine and flower design and the eye hole rims are lined in black and comes out to a point cat like on the outer corner, there is also white feathers that fan out on the top.
Keep your base matte and natural- no blusher, bronzer or glitter. Use a plain foundation and concealer if you need it, and use a little pressed powder to keep away shine, because it can get sweaty under that mask. Put on some mascara, and do your make-up maybe blacks, greys and silvers to match your mask. Do a smoky eyes effect to make you look mysterious. Put a light colour on your lips, not too dark, or if you can pull it off, matte red lipstick.
