Yes I am looking for a cat and the hat type hat. Only it has U.S.A. colors on it. I am wanting it for a 4th of July party and thought it would be cool. If you saw the semi-final of the euro 08’s between turkey and germany, at the end Sweignsteiger was wearing one in the style of germany.

A growing crisis and concern, caring for elder adults is unlike child care. Where as the dependency of children decreases over time, with an aging parent, it will increase. Many of us have successfully raised our children and maintained excellent work records. Our sons and daughters suffering only minimal scars of our leaving them alone and in the care of others. Through all of this, we usually had the joy of watching them progress, and learn, becoming more responsible and reliable. If we did it right, they are taking care of their business, and achieving more than we could ever dream of. As the primary care giver, we feel successful, and believe the loss of sleep has well been worth it.
The same cannot be said when the object of your caregiving is a parent. There are few options available for unbiased help. Feelings of guilt, shame, embarrassment often accompany elder care giving. The sleepless nights are constant, and the knowledge that this is not going to get better takes a major emotional toll on the entire family. If there are multiple siblings, everyone has a lot of opinions, but few have solution. Add the workplace stress, and current economic downturn and this becomes a recipe for disaster. I am constantly surprised by the response of so many individuals when presented with the question “what are you going to do in the future?” Most respond with an attitude of I will deal with it when the time comes. Learning as much as you can before you need the information can mean the difference between living a miserable existence in anger and resentment, or loving the later years of your parents life, connecting with them in dignity and love.
It has only been in the last few decades that so many people have lived so long. The average was 70, now it is 80+. Physically, mentally and emotionally there is a need to maintain activity and engagement. When you begin your research on the aging process, do not turn a blind eye. Try to become an observer, and really practice taking your self out of the child role, and create a partnership of equals. Participate in seminars, usually free, that cover a variety of topics. I don’t remember how I came across The Peace Arch, but I do remember wondering at the time what Peace Architecture might look like. Sentient beings are notoriously sensitive to the spaces they inhabit whether they know it or not.
The thing about the Peace Arch that touched me is that it’s all about space, empty, open space. Peace needs space in order to be itself. One of the reasons we don’t have a consistent peace on our planet is that there isn’t enough space for it.
Here’s a bit of Wikipedia’s history of the Peace Arch:
The Peace Arch is a monument situated on the Canada/United States border between the communities of Blaine, Washington and Surrey, British Columbia. The Peace Arch, which stands 20.5 meters (67.2 ft) tall, was built by Sam Hill and dedicated in September of 1921, and commemorates the signing of the Treaty of Ghent in 1814. The monument is built on the exact United States, Canada boundary, between Interstate 5 and Highway 99, in the grass, “central reservation” median between the northbound and southbound lanes.
The Peace Arch has the flags of the U.S. and Canada mounted on its crown, and two inscriptions on both sides of its frieze. The inscription on the U.S. side of the Peace Arch reads “Children of a common mother,” and the words on the Canadian side read “Brethren dwelling together in unity.”
Within the arch, each side has an iron gate hinged on either side of the border with an inscription above reading “May these gates never be closed.” Peace Arch Park consists of Peace Arch Provincial Park on the Canadian side and Peace Arch State Park on the American side of the border. Within the park is a major border crossing which has never closed, symbolizing a long history of peace between the two nations.
In Canada, the crossing is officially named Douglas in honor of Sir James Douglas, the first governor of the Colony of British Columbia. Because of the Peace Arch monument, however, the border crossing between Surrey and Blaine is popularly known as the “Peace Arch Border Crossing,” one of the busiest border crossings between Canada and the United States. It is the busiest such crossing west of Detroit.
As of January 2008, construction is currently taking place at the Peace Arch Crossing. While it is still open, it is recommended to go through the Pacific Border Crossing (#15) as there are fewer delays. One book extensively covers the history of the International Peace Arch. It bears the title, “Sam Hill’s Peace Arch: Remembrance of Dreams Past” by Richard Clark (2005).
“Children of a common mother.” That Mother has to be Earth Herself. Spiritually, the energy of the mother is the energy of space. Space to be. Space to live. Space to choose. Space to thrive. An architecture of peace has to be an architecture of space.
Since the U. S. Presidential election, my email inbox has been filled with declarations of “a new world.” Would that that new world be a world of peace. Our first task is to make space for it.

Countrymen belonging to nearby villages and also from different parts of Rajasthan, comes here to sell and purchase livestocks which includes camels, cows, sheep and goats.
Even a large number of traders gather here to sell their products like bead necklaces of Nagaur, woollen blankets of Merta, printed textiles of Ajmer and Jodhpur, brassware of Jodhpur and Jaipur etc. Also they sell saddles, ropes, and assorted household items.
Some of the interesting and exciting competitions of the Pushkar fair which draws maximum number of tourists are “Mustache competition”, “Makta Phod”, “Bridal competition”, “musical chairs” and last but not the least “tug-of-war”in which only the local ladies and tourists(female) can participate. In the past years, Pushkar tourism board has included an exhibition of cricket match between the local Pushkar club and a team of random foreign tourists, which is an added attraction of the Pushkar fair.
Pushkar is not only famous for the camel fair but it is also a major pilgrimage site of Hindus. Thousands of Hindu devotees comes here to take a holy dip in the Pushkar lake. After the entire day’s merriment, worshipers floats hundreds of oil lamps placed on leaves on the lake. This is an awesome sight which reflects the religious sight of Indians.
